1. NUMUSE today

NUMUSE is an AI storytelling platform in active development. This website is an early preview: it describes the experience we are building, and features, formats and timelines may change before and after early access opens. Nothing on this site is an offer to sell anything.

When NUMUSE, or a story world built on it such as Chris Maus, offers paid plans or products, D2SG is the seller. Charges appear on your card statement under D2SG, your receipts come from D2SG, and D2SG’s Terms of Service at d2sg.com/terms apply to those purchases.

2. Who can use NUMUSE

You must be at least 13 years old to use NUMUSE. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf and supervise your use.

3. Your stories

You keep ownership of the original stories, characters, worlds and other material you create on NUMUSE (“Your Content”). You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, adapt and reproduce Your Content only as needed to run, improve and promote the Services — for example, to show your Adventure to readers or to produce the storybook, audiobook or film of a finished journey.

You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights to everything you upload or ask the Muse to work from.

4. Stories made with AI

The Muse uses artificial intelligence to help write, illustrate and narrate. AI-generated material can be unexpected, inaccurate or similar to material others have created, so please review it before you publish or share it. Storytellers decide what stays in their worlds and are responsible for what they publish.

5. Acceptable use

Please don’t use NUMUSE to:

• break the law or infringe anyone else’s rights, including copyright, trademark and privacy;
• create or share content that sexualises minors, harasses, threatens or promotes hatred or violence against people;
• impersonate others or mislead readers about who made something;
• interfere with, overload, scrape or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Services; or
• use the Services to build a competing product or to train AI models without our written permission.

6. Our content and brand

The NUMUSE name, the Muse, our logos, site design and our own illustrations and text belong to us or our licensors. You may not use them without our permission, except to refer to NUMUSE fairly and accurately.

7. Other websites

NUMUSE links to services we don’t control, such as X and Bluesky. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

8. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don’t promise that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, NUMUSE and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms as NUMUSE grows — for example, when early access opens. We will post the new version here and update the date above. Continuing to use NUMUSE after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
