The Lantern Below
Sela presses her palm to the stone. The room remembers her.
From dream to discovery
NUMUSE is the AI storytelling platform where writers build living Adventures, players step inside them, and finished worlds get minted as Experiences — trailer, audiobook, storybook, VR. The Muse co-authors. The story persists. The fans come back.
The Adventure loop
Every NUMUSE Adventure is a frame, not a script. Scenes can be prompted or improvised, illustrated on demand, and remembered between sessions. Finish the arc and the world condenses into something you can hold — a trailer, a storybook, a soundtrack, a room you can walk into.
Storyteller
A Storyteller sketches the Adventure: world rules, opening scene, the cast they hope will show up. No code, no production pipeline — just the shape of the story.
Free · drafts unlimited
AI co-author
The Muse fills in scenes, illustrates pages, drafts dialogue, and proposes the next beat. The Storyteller curates — accepts, rewrites, vetoes. Authoring becomes a conversation.
100 Energy to publish
Player
A reader begins the Adventure. Characters they bring, choices they make, and lines the Muse improvises in the moment all become part of their version of the story. No two playthroughs are the same.
10 Energy to begin
Reader-as-author
Finish the arc and the Adventure condenses into an Experience — trailer, storybook, audiobook, video, optional VR room. Yours, in five formats, watermarked with the players who shaped it.
20 Energy to mint
Storyteller
Energy that flows in is split. NUMUSE keeps half. Storytellers receive residuals every time their world is read, illustrated, or minted. Professional accounts can cash out to fiat. Stories become careers.
50% residual share
Meet the Muse
The Muse is the AI persona at the heart of every NUMUSE world. It listens to the Storyteller, watches the reader, and writes between them. Not a chatbot — a craftsperson. It gets pulled into the work, not pasted onto it.
Reads the Adventure's frame, the prior scenes, and the character sheets. Proposes the next beat with three flavors — straight, twist, slow burn — so the Storyteller picks instead of prompts.
Generates page art tuned to the world's visual language — not generic stock. The Storyteller sets the palette once and the Muse holds the line.
Reads each scene in the voices the Storyteller assigned. Audiobook quality, on the fly, in the language of the reader — no studio session required.
What the reader chose last time matters next time. Characters carry forward. The Muse keeps the canon so the world never asks you who you are twice.
Characters · the cast you can collect
Players build Characters once and bring them anywhere. A Hero from one Adventure can walk into another as a Sidekick. A Villain you defeated might show up as someone else's Love Interest. The cast persists across worlds — and accumulates a reputation as it goes.
Wants something they can name. Will pay too much to get it.
Was right about one thing, and that thing won't leave them alone.
Knows the Hero better than the Hero does. Mostly chooses not to say.
Has the receipt for every promise. Is keeping count out of kindness.
Believes the opposite of the Hero, for reasons the Hero must respect.
Storytellers ship custom archetypes too. The five above are the ones the Muse already knows by heart.
What you take home
An Experience is what an Adventure leaves behind when the arc closes. Mint once and you receive every output below, watermarked with the reader-author who finished the story. Keep it private, share it, or list it for resale.
A 90-second teaser cut from the world's key beats. Score, voiceover, opening scene — built to be shared on the platform of your choosing.
Every scene of the Adventure as illustrated pages, bound in a layout the Storyteller chose. Available as a download, or print-on-demand hardbound for collectors.
Full narration by the cast voices the Storyteller assigned. Atmosphere, room tone, scene music — produced the moment the arc closes.
The full Adventure played out as animated illustration, scene by scene, with voice and score. The medium your friends will actually watch.
Step into the world's anchor scenes. A spatial walkthrough rendered from the same canon the storybook and audiobook share.
Every Experience ships as a tradable object. Sell it, gift it, license it — the Storyteller earns residuals every time it changes hands.
Five formats. One canon. The world stays the same whichever way you read it.
The economy
NUMUSE runs on a deliberate pair. Karma you cannot buy. Energy you cannot earn into infinity. One signals trust. The other fuels creation. Storytellers and players hold both, but for very different reasons.
Earned · never sold
Karma is the trust signal the Muse and the community read. It accumulates when your Adventures get read, your characters get cast, and your reviews land. It unlocks levels, weights, and the moderation surfaces — but it cannot be bought.
Built to collect. Resistant to gaming. Visible on every profile.
Purchased · spent · generated
Energy fuels the Muse. Publish an Adventure: 100E. Begin one: 10E. Mint an Experience: 20E. Roughly $9.99 buys 100 Energy. Storytellers also generate Energy every time their worlds are consumed — a residual that never sleeps.
Built to spend. Generated from work. NUMUSE keeps 50% of every transaction.
Karma is who you are. Energy is what you do. The platform exists because the two are kept honest.
Coming worlds
NUMUSE is multi-tenant by design. Several narrative IPs are queued to launch as Adventures the moment the engine ships. These are the first three — each waiting for the world the Muse will help them become.
